Kerstin Fritzl is one of the children of Josef Fritzl and his daughter, Elisabeth Fritzl. She was born in the basement dungeon where Josef had imprisoned Elisabeth, and spent the first 19 years of her life in captivity.
After she recovered from her illness, Kerstin was reunited with her mother and siblings. Since then, she has largely stayed out of the public eye, and little is known about her current whereabouts or what she has been doing since her release from captivity.
After Elisabeth and her children were rescued in 2008, Kerstin was hospitalized in critical condition due to a life-threatening illness. She was placed in an induced coma for several weeks while doctors worked to stabilize her condition.
